Leather Clown Nose Making Workshop II
Posted December 19, 2006

Note: Posted as received. The next two day workshop will be: *Sunday January 7th and Tuesday 9th, 2007 at 6:30 PM*

Making well over 100 custom clown noses for clowns in the New York area and around the world Stanley Allan Sherman will be teaching a two-day workshop - How to make your own leather clown noses.

In the class you will learn how to:
  • Choose leather for the nose.
  • Prepare the leather.
  • Mold leather into the clown nose.
  • Sharpen the knife blade. You cannot cut leather with a dull knife.
  • Fit the clown nose.
  • Cut the clown nose.
  • Paint and finish the clown nose.
  • Prepare and fit the elastic and string.
One great thing about the leather clown nose is they do not sweat like rubber or latex and they have a much more natural look than rubber. To see examples of Stanley's masks, clown noses and information please go to www.maskarts.com.
