A CLOWN and GENDER-in-COMEDY WORKSHOP

In this two- day workshop for men and women (clowns, actresses, actors, dancers, and all other adventurous performers), we will explore:
play, spontaneity & imagination,
sex roles and status,
full-bodied character,
dynamic relationship with audience,
physicalizing gender in movement and space,
comic timing,
clown psychology,
and more...

Kendall Cornell has been creating and performing clown work in New York City and abroad since falling in love with it 12 years ago. Her solo clown work includes The Maneater, Glamourpuss, Pink Salome, The Invisible Woman, Flamenco Girl, Teeny-Weeny Yogini, The Wallflower, and P.S. de la Resistance. With clown partner Katie Hare she co-created Fever, The Duel and I’ll Check the Tickets. With other women clowns she appeared in the full length shows Working Without Annette and The Holiday Show and appeared on the mainstage at the International Festival de Pallasses
