SHOWS back

  Showboat Shazzam June 6–27
Posted May 22, 2009

Note: Some excellent jugglers, as always. Posted as received.

Formerly known as the "CIRCUSunday Series," this fast-paced one-ring variety show presents professional acts from around the globe! Astounding acrobats, aerialists, jugglers, eccentrics, and clowns dazzle and delight all ages. Every weekend features entirely new acts and artists chosen by artistic director, Karen E. Gersch. Shows are rain or shine every Sunday in June aboard this historic barge in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Audiences enjoy unusual acts, comedy, and daring dexterity. Terrific harbor views and cool summer breezes. A "Rube Goldberg-like" kinetic ball machine sculpture by George Rhoades on the pier welcomes all. Handicapped accessible ramps. Coast Guard dockside capacity: 149 passengers.
