Note: The one time we went to this party, it was a lot of fun, and this year
the guest/performer line-up looks great, and the push-up contest looks
hilarious. Go if you can.

It's a Celebration!
This year is the 25th Anniversary of the Mermaid Parade. It's a big year for
us, and we want our friends to join us to celebrate our triumphs in spite of
the major challenges facing us in the years ahead. One of our board members
put it best in a recent letter: "things are really great at the world's most
interesting not-for-profit arts organization...." In spite of all the
turmoil in the neighborhood, we've been making sure that we'll be able to do
keep the spirit and feeling of Coney Island alive for at least another 25
years. With help from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs,
we're purchasing our historic building and we'll have a permanent home in
New York's amusement district!!
So join us to kick off the summer season in style and start building the
energy that will drive us to a monumental 25th anniversary parade! The first
parade organized and run from our own property in Coney Island! Come
celebrate with us!
It's a Fundraiser!
This year, we expect to fund a significant portion of our annual operating
expenses with this event. Your ticket matters. Sure, there are other
parties. Some of them could be Coney Island Themed. But we're your resident
carnies and we need you. We promise to make it worth your while. Buy your

It's a heck of a party!
Seriously, folks, this will be one of the best parties you've ever been to.
Our annual benefit is a one of a kind event where we pull out all the stops
and reach deep inside our bag of tricks to create a happening like no other.
Last year the event featured everything from the full Mermaid Parade in
miniature marching around the club (complete with a charismatic Dwarf
leading the performers) to burlesque aerialists to myriad freaks to a
miniature hot dog eating contest, and more. This year, we'll be taking the
party to new heights. The highlight will be Dick Zigun (our founder) taking
on British TV-star and seal-boy Mat Fraser in a push-up contest.
Featuring entertainment by Miss Coney Island Ekaterina, Julie Atlas Muz, the
Coney Island Sideshow, Amanda Topaz and Rockit Aerials, Armen Ra, Shelly
Watson, The Great Throwdini, Bambi the Mermaid, The Great Fredini, Todd
Robbins, Fisherman's Xylophonic Burlesque Orchestra, DJ Jeff Jackson, and
more!

ALSO... when you get your tickets consider upgrading to the VIP or Dinner
level admission. With the VIP ticket you get exclusive access to a private
area at the Gala with special entertainment, table service and more. Or
really go for it and join our board and performers as both a VIP guest at
the Gala and as celebrant at the annual Sideshow Social Club Dinner. The
Dinner is a unique event on May 2nd, where you get to dine in Manhattan with
the freaks, wonders and curiosities of Coney Island. It's a very special
