TV Shoot at Carmine June 7
Posted June 5, 2007
NOTE: This event has been postponed due to internal issues with the tv crew. We will let you know if it is rescheduled.
We are hoping for a big turn-out at the gym this week, as Wonderland
Productions is currently in talks with Center staff to secure permission to
shoot our juggling club this Thursday, June 7. They are interested in
including us in a new television series, tentatively titled Street Games.
Here's how the producers describe the show:
"The series will highlight a wide variety of unique sports played in and
around New York City. This series will do more than simply cover the events
- it will capture the atmosphere and character of the neighborhoods in which
the events take place, and will uncover the colorful and interesting
personalities of the people involved in these sports. Each episode will be
30 minutes long and will cover two different NY events.
"This is SNY's first foray into the world outside of the N.Y. Mets and Jets
and we're looking to chronicle all the different athletes of NYC - the
sports everyday New Yorkers play and compete in."
Besides filming us juggling, the producers would like to interview "some of
the personalities" involved.
Hope you can make it to the gym this week. Let's show them Carmine at its
hot and crowded best.
