Vote for The Passing Zone!
Posted August 14, 2006
The Passing Zone is among ten acts who will be competing on the American TV show America's Got Talent this Wednesday night for $1,000,000 and a one-year performing contract in Las Vegas. The winner will be determined by public response so support juggling and VOTE.
The show airs on NBC Wednesday night (check local listings for times and channels), and you can only vote in the two-hour window following the airing in your time zone. There are three ways to enter your vote:
- You can call it in using a toll-free (in the US) number,
- You can vote over the Internet through http://www.nbc.com/Americas_Got_Talent/vote/register.shtml, or
- You can send it by text message (fees apply).
Here's the only catch, each act is assigned a number on air that night, and the voting requires you to know that number. We can't post it here because it doesn't exist yet. So watch the show if you can, and someone please post the number to the JuggleNYC.com Message Board as soon as it appears on screen.
Hundreds of acts auditioned for this show, dozens performed on tv, and only ten are still in contention. The Passing Zone were the only jugglers who made it to the finals and one of the few real variety acts (the others are mostly singers and musicians). And you know what? Of all the acts that could be representing juggling on the country's top-rated television show, they're the ones who'll do this community proud. They deserve it.
Anyone over 18 is allowed to vote up to ten times per media (phone, Internet, text), so, as they say in Chicago: Vote early. Vote often.
