Jogglers Compete for Charity & World Record at Boston Marathon
Posted April 13, 2006
On Monday, April 17, Michal Kapral of Canada and Zach Warren of the U.S. – the world's two fastest marathon "jogglers" – will face off in an effort to break the current Guinness World Record for "fastest marathon while juggling three objects" at this year's Boston Marathon.
Zach Warren broke Michel Kapral's previous record by less than a minute at last November's Philadelphia Marathon in an effort to raise awareness for the Mobile Mini Children's Circus (MMCC), a non-profit organization based in Kabul, Afghanistan. (For more information about Zach and MMCC check out the March/April 2006 issue of JUGGLE.)
Both jogglers are racing to raise money and awareness for specific charities. Zach will be running for the Afghan MMCC again and hopes to match the $10,000 he raised last November (www.unicycle4kids.org). Kapral's efforts are for A Run For Liane in support of The Hospital for Sick Children's new childhood cancer research centre in Toronto (www.rememberliane.com).
