Mattatuck Museums Gala Party to Feature World-Reknowned Juggler Michael Moschen

Join us for the Mattatuck Museums 13th Annual Festival of Traditions at the Gala Party on Friday, December 5 from 6:30 10:00pm.

This week-long Festival features three floors of trees decorated by artists, designers and school groups, as well as wreaths and gift ideas too numerous to mention! Partygoers to the Gala can wear festive outfits portraying the past, present or future, and circulate through the galleries, enjoying the artistry of world famous juggler Michael Moschen and tips for the future from a clairvoyant. Other entertainment includes the North End Middle School Show Chorus and local musicians. Moschen has performed with Cirque de Soleil, The Big Apple Circus, in theatre and dance festivals throughout the world, and created, choreographed and performed with crystal balls as actor David Bowie's hands in the Jim Henson film Labyrinth. He has also performed on many television shows, including In Motion with Michael Moschen for Great Performances on PBS. A Silent Auction, complete with celebrity-signed ornaments, will be another special event at this year's Festival Gala. Hang a shiny ornament on your ow n Christmas tree signed by Elizabeth Taylor, Julia Child, Arthur Miller or Harrison Ford. An exciting collection of original art, jewelry, antiques and other services will be available at the Silent Auction. The Exhibition Caf will be serving dinner samplings such as sesame encrusted pork tenderloin wontons, festive rosemary polenta with spinach and roasted peppers and thin crust pizza with with grilled duck and smoked mozzarella. The food, entertainment, decorations and silent auction combine to make this one of the Mattatuck's most festive Galas ever.
