"The little trick of getting three objects to dance around in your hands has always managed to keep a small sense of magic about it...It's one form of insanity we feel everyone has a right to experience."

CircuSundays Start this Week
May 27, 2003

Editorial Note: A beloved New York circus tradition for years, this is an annual opportunity to see a variety of variety acts, some quite good, performing in a funny, limited, low-ceilinged, rocking setting. Bring a picnic, and don't come in a rush -- it's beautiful and fun. Make a day of it. Highly recommended.

CIRCUSundays in June brings the circus to Red Hook every Sunday in June featuring professional performers from around the globe who will dazzle, delight and mystify you.

We bring you a variety of unusual acts illuminating dexterity, humor and eccentrics hosted by Artistic Director, Karen Gersch. This year’s highlights include Lariat Artists, Stilt Dancing, Native American Hoop Dancers, Slackrope Walkers, Oodles of Poodles and much more. Every Sunday features an entirely new show.

Before and After the show, view CIRCUSundays: Photographs by William King a stunning selection of great moments from performances over the past six seasons. Renowned Brooklyn photographer William King captures extraordinary images in brilliant color prints.

Two Shows Daily (June 1, 8, 15, 22, 29) at 1:00PM & 4:30 PM

Stop by week after week to experience new and amazing acts. We are expecting an unprecedented variety of performers this summer.

Shows Are Rain Or Shine. Advance Ringside Reservations: $10.00 and arrive 15 min. before showtime Tickets at the door: $5.00 (First Come, First Served). At Showtime, available seating will be filled with a $1.00 Suggested Donation. The Free Con Edison and Prospect Park YMCA Shuttle Bus offers transportation to the Barge from Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens and Red Hook.
