Traveling Banner clear Carmine Street Irregulars Jugglers
"The little trick of getting three objects to dance around in your hands has always managed to keep a small sense of magic about it...It's one form of insanity we feel everyone has a right to experience."

Volunteer Performers Wanted
April 24, 2003

PCP Group seeks performers to volunteer at their upcoming fundraiser in the East Village.

Who: The Plain Clothes Performance group is a collective of playwrights, dancers, actors and directors who believe in redefining and modernizing traditional theatre. Fiery, inventive, kooky, hard-working, the PCP group's next project is a gender-bending Goth 80s production of Shakespeare's OTHELLO. It is sure to turn some heads, just like "the jiggly and shameless Steven Hess" [also a Carmine Street Irregular] did in The Unspeakable Act, at last summer's NYC Fringe Festival.

Request: On May 16 the PCP group is holding a fundraiser for its gender-bending production of Shakespeare's OTHELLO. "WHAT'S UNDER THAT HAT!" Yes! A Hat Party at Home a spanking new lounge on the Lower East Side. There will be burlesque dancers, silent auction and a fabulous raffle. They are looking for short ball-juggling acts, and they will list performers on their flyer.
