Yonkers Family Day Seeks Volunteer Performers

YONKERS FAMILY DAY is a day-long event being held on Saturday, November 6th from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Yonkers Riverfront Library, One Larkin Center, in Yonkers, NY.
This is the event's sixth year. It is a community-wide effort dedicated to improving the health and quality of life in Yonkers. More than 5,000 children and parents are expected to attend.
To help entertain the families and children, we would love it if two to three performers would be interested in volunteering for the day (even a few hours would be fine.) We are not looking for acts to perform, but rather individuals who can entertain people in line -- perhaps a juggler, a mime, someone who does magic tricks, that kind of thing. While we unfortunately cannot pay our performers due to budget constraints, we would be more than happy to provide lunch and reimbursement for the transportation up to Yonkers. Local news is also expected so it's a good opportunity for publicity, as well as a chance to perform for a large group of people.
