The New Yorker presents the Flying Karamazov Brothers in their New York début performance of "Life, A Guide for the Perplexed," based on the twelfth-century book by Moses Maimonides, with an interview afterward with Edward Koren. The Flying Karamazov Brothers are currently touring their new show, "Life, A Guide for the Perplexed." Their previous work includes "adaptations" of Dostoyevsky's "The Brothers Karamazov," Dumas's "The Three Musketeers," and Shakespeare's "A Comedy of Errors" as well as "Juggling and Cheap Theatrics," "Theatre of the Air," and "Juggle & Hyde," which received a 1994 Olivier Award nomination during its run in London's West End. They have won an Obie Award for outstanding achievement in the Off Broadway and Off Off Broadway theatre and were featured in the film "The Jewel of the Nile." Their PBS special, "The Flying Karamazov Brothers: Stars of New Vaudeville," won an Emmy for Outstanding Entertainment Programming. Edward Koren has contributed cover art and more than nine hundred cartoons to The New Yorker since 1962. His numerous books include "Well, There's Your Problem," "The Hard Work of Simple Living: A Somewhat Blank Book for the Sustainable Hedonist," "Quality Time: Parenting, Progeny, and Pets," and "What About Me?" Among the several children's books that he has illustrated are "How to Eat Like a Child, and Other Lessons in Not Being a Grown-Up," "Pet Peeves: or Whatever Happened to Doctor Rawff?," and "A Dog's Life."
