Note: The following is from Ellie Larsen of the Jersey Jugglers. Please contact her if you are interested in this opportunity.
As coordinator for Jersey Jugglers I get appearance requests a lot
but they are usually freebies. We do some but not all. When this came
across the wire it looked like a worthwhile event. I don't have
jugglers that can do all these events so I am sending out this
request to anyone else who might want it. I am a little reluctant to
put someone else's email or contact info on a discussion forum so if
you are interested send me an email at moosh@jerseyjugglers.com and I
will forward the contact info to you. Keep reading.
Hello! My name is Jessica Moran and I am working on the annual "Light
the Night" Walks with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. "Light the
Night" is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's annual evening walk to
celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer. Each fall, teams
of families, friends and co-workers gather in cities and towns across
America. They walk in twilight, holding illuminated balloons-white
for survivors and red for supporters. More than a walk, the evening
includes music, food and family activities.
This year we have 7 walk sites all throughout Northern New Jersey. We
want to make this night truly enjoyable for all who attend. A thought
we had was to find jugglers to perform throughout the night. Juggling
is a glorious source of fun entertainment, especially during an event
with so much meaning to family, friends and supporters. The dates and
locations of our 7 walk sites are as follows:
- Hoboken, NJ-Saturday September 18, 2004
- Waterloo Village-Stanhope, NJ-Saturday September 26, 2004
- Brookdale Park-Montclair/Bloomfield, NJ-Saturday October 9, 2004
- Giralda Farms-Madison, NJ-Saturday October 9, 2004
- Douglass College-New Brunswick,NJ-Sunday October, 10, 2004
- Deer Path Park-Readington/Clinton, NJ-Saturday October16, 2004
- Ramapo College-Mahwah, NJ-Sunday October 17, 2004
Please let me know if you would like to participate in this year's
festivities, or if you can direct me to others in the field who may
be interested in helping, that would be greatly appreciated! You may
contact me through any of the information below. With your help,
there is no doubt that this event will be a success!! Thank you so
much for your time.
I look forward to hearing from you. Have a great day!
