Humor Your Performer. May 12th - 14th. (11am - 4pm $125) Deepen your Clown World through exploration and creation of expressions. Specify your movement, gestures and intentions, open up your listening, both interior and exterior. Sophisticate your playfulness, arouse curiosity and play the moment. Emphasizing both the human and the humor in you, develop your clowning using elements of the teachings of Richard Pochinko, Kazuo Ohno, Jacques Lecoq, Traditional Japanese Theater (Kyogen) as well as exercises developed by Moshe over twelve years of teaching. Focus will be on the individual clown but work will also involve interaction, two or three person improv and occasional group movement. We will also use objects. Work will include Qi Gong style warm-ups, movement, creation of expressions, walks, gestures, and voice work . Sophisticate your subtlety and exuberance.
Humor Your Performer / Games. May 15th & 16th. (10am - 5pm $95) This workshop will focus on Clown Performance in an improvisational setting. The goal of the workshop is through structured improvisations, explorations and creations for the participants to bring their clown world and offer it up in solo, duo, trio, and group performance moments. Moshe will guide, provoke, invoke, reflect, catalyze and try not to rationalize as the participants delve into their ridiculous, irreverence, innocence, tricksterdom, absurdom and yet to be determined qualities that move people's clown worlds. The workshop will include a good physical warm-up and clown chakra awakening expression and vocabulary play.
Clown Performance Workshop. May 17th - 19th. (6:30pm - 10pm FREE!) / May 18th - 21st additional daytime hours with Moshe added if needed/desired. Open to all performers, this will be a 'games' workshop with an emphasis on honing duo, trio and group improvisations towards performances in the Clown Performance Festival.
May 20th & May 21st. (8pm FREE!) hosted by One Arm Red.
