An Intro to CLOWNING: In this workshop we will find the delight of a child, the vulnerability of the actor, and the failure of a clown who is striving with all of his or her might to maintain dignity in the midst of catastrophe. The work will involve both solo and partner work exploring relationships to the audience, to your partner, status, pleasure, and enjoying failure. This class in will draw on exercises based in the techniques of Angela de Castro, Avner Eisenberg, Julie Goell and Phillippe Gaullier. The exercises are designed to discover a true sense of pleasure and joy in play.
