HERSHEYPARK (www.hersheypark.com) is seeking comic actors,
clowns(physical comedians) and jugglers for summer work. Pay
starts at $450/week plus bonuses and subsidized housing. Details
below.

PERFORMER DETAILS:
CLOWNS/PHYSICAL COMEDIANS
High-energy clowns/physical comedians, age 18-27, in good physical
condition. You should have a great sense of physical comic timing
and be comfortable with improvisation and audience participation.
You should have some physical skills like juggling, mime, clowning,
dance, athletics, etc. Be prepared with a one-minute physical
comedy routine. You may be asked to improvise.
COMIC ACTORS
High-energy comic, physical actors, age 18-27. You should have a
good sense of comic timing and be comfortable with improvisation and
audience participation. Skills like juggling, mime, clowning,
singing, dance, etc. are a plus. Be prepared with a one-minute
comic monologue or physical comedy routine. You may be asked to
improvise. ( No stand-up comedy please.)
JUGGLERS
High-energy jugglers, age 18-27, in good physical condition. You
should have a sense of comic timing and be comfortable with
audience participation. Skills like mime, unicycling, acrobatics,
etc. are a plus. You must be able to pass clubs and be able to do
tricks with both clubs and balls. Be prepared to show skills and
possibly do a simple improvised story or pantomime.
DRUMMERS
High-energy drummers, age 18-27, in good physical condition. Needs
drummers who are interested in being PERFORMERS as well as drummers
(you might be asked to talk occasionally, do staging and even a
little choreography). You should be able to read charts as well as
improvise and be interested in making music on unusual
"instruments". Good sense of humor a plus. Be prepared to show
rudiments and a 1-minute piece. You may be asked to improvise.

THE SHOWS
HERSHEYPARK GREEN TEAM
An interactive vaudeville comedy revue, The Green Team is a
4-person, half-hour show that performs 5 times per day in an outdoor
theatre. Needs Comic actors, jugglers and physical comedians/clowns.
Contract goes from May 8th through September 6th.
HERSHEYPARK TRASHTIME
A "Stomp"-style drumming and juggling revue. Trashtime is a
5-person, half-hour show that performs 5 times per day in an outdoor
theatre. Needs drummers with a sense of humor, and comic jugglers
with sense of rhythm. Contract: May 14th through September 6th.
All performers work a 6-day week. Pay starts at $450/week plus
bonuses and subsidized housing.
