2. Circus/juggling exhibition by Carmine irregular Karen Gersch
Update from Karen:
New Spring issue of Spectacle magazine graciously gave me 3 pages for my
art. Ernest didn't choose too many jugglers, but you'll recognize who'se
there. I also wanted to declare that I will once again be exhibiting at the
IJA in Reading. The exhibit is called "JUGGLERS & JOKESTERS", and as always,
chronicles eccentrics, manipulaters & classic artists, as well as past and
present IJA attendees. I'll be showing and selling drawings, paintings,
posters, postcards, and will be doing quick-line sketches on site. As my
repertoire of visual works is immense, If someone has a specific request of
a favorite juggler or performer they would like me to bring pictures of,
please let me know in advance. People can call me at (212) 475-4999, fax me
at (212) 473-6412, or e mail me here.

3. Nick Goldsmith in dance performance
Carmine irregular Nick Goldsmith appearing in dance piece. Following is an
edited e-mail from choreographer Christopher Elam:
My first full evening of choreography in New York, and the result of a full
year's work, this concert features 8 dances (5 New York Premieres), 12
performers, original music, and a photo exhibition. My extended stay in
Turkey, dance studies in Indonesia, and personal artistic exploration
influence the new works. Music ranges from Tuvian throat singing to Judy
Collins, including new compositions by special guest composers. This is a
huge project. I hope you will be able to come partake in the pleasure!

4. National Circus Project seeks artist/instructors
This is a nice, reputable local-ish outfit. Here's what they say about the
job:
The National Circus Project, a New York based arts in education company is
looking for energetic, personable, people who would love appear in hundreds
of shows and teach thousands of students circus arts. The National Circus
Project visits over 600 schools and facilities per year in and around the
north eastern United States! We are now training artist/instructor staff
for our summer season as well as the 2002/03 school season. If you are a
performer with family oriented show material you can send us your resume and
video. People with skills such as juggling, unicycling, clowning, teaching
etc. who have little or no performing experience may qualify for our
training program.
