Traveling Banner clear Carmine Street Irregulars Jugglers
"The little trick of getting three objects to dance around in your hands has always managed to keep a small sense of magic about it...It's one form of insanity we feel everyone has a right to experience."  ~ Juggling for the Complete Klutz

1. Payback Time

The Carmine Street Gym has asked for our help. Any irregulars who can volunteer a few hours to help lead juggling workshops for children in their afterschool programs, please email Viveca directly and let her know what afternoon hours you might have free. It would be nice to offer them a series of one or two days a week for February or March or both, maybe Monday and Wednesdays from 3 - 5 or something like that. Experience and skill are not as necessary as availability and enthusiasm. Please help if you can. They're being awfully nice to us, and they have been for a long time. back to top

2. Keith Bindlestiff on Letterman

Possibly the most irregular of the regular irregulars (if you understood that, you're way too inside), Keith Nelson of Bindlestiff Family Cirkus will be appearing on Late Night (or whatever David Letterman's show is called these days) Friday night, January 10 on "Is This Anything?" The spot is usually in the first half of the show.

Hey kids, he missed Carmine for this. Show him the love.

3. Artists Meeting

Mark Lonergan of Velocity is organizing an artists meeting for different types of performers (and directors and choreographers...) to share resources, network, etc. It sounds like a good idea and could be valuable. If it is, there may be more. Viveca be in Chicago so I can't go, but if you do go, could you please fill her in?

Jugglers, obviously, welcome, but feel free to forward to friends in other performing fields. He's trying to get a mix of perspectives. Meeting is at "Drip", on Amsterdam between 83rd and 84th Streets, 11:30am, Sunday, January 12th, 2003.

For more information, contact Mark Lonergan at parallelexit@hotmail.com

5. Tony Montanaro Memorial

Tony's memorial is scheduled for January 31 in Maine. Another may follow in New York. The organizers need financial support. Anyone who needs more info to attend, contribute, or send condolences, please contact Viveca directly. Further announcements will probably not appear here.
