Suspended Cirque presents DeFLYance
“{Suspended Cirque}’s got an unpretentious charm.” –
Leigh Witchel, New York Post
Life's most pivotal moments define who we are. DeFLYance uses circus to portray these formative experiences with dexterity and humor. Three people squeeze onto a tiny airborne triangle (representing their first New York City apartment), geriatric walkers are used for more than assisting the elderly, and both the tragic and triumphant sides of a romantic break-up are felt 20 feet in the air. Special guests include Kristin Young and Sara Joel, both formerly of Cirque du Soleil. Sara will be performing at eight months pregnant! The show also features Jan Manke and award-winning juggler and NYU Tisch Professor, Hovey Burgess, who wrote the book Circus Techniques.
