Autism Walk Seeks Performers June 22
Posted May 8, 2008
Note: Sounds like a fun event and it's definitely a good cause. Stuart is one of our donors, help us give something back to him and the kids. Posted as received.
Autism Speaks: NYC Walk @ South Street Seaport
Today, 1 in 150 children are diagnosed as being on the Autism
Spectrum. Autism is exploding ...and there is no cure. Autism Speaks
raises money for research to find a cure through events like the NY
Walk. This event, expected to bring 10,000 walkers from the five
boroughs, is a huge opportunity for us to raise research dollars. In
addition to the walk, there is music entertainment on stage, a
resource fair, and refreshments all supported by friends within the
community. It's a complete forum!
We need jugglers, cyclists, and all friends within the community to
join us at the event.Your support is vital and can make a difference!
I have brought kids to JuggleNYC.com events; and man do they get a
lift from the joy that you deliver. And I know how much jugglers and
the rest of you love the mesmerized, awe-stricken crowds! Your skills,
gifts, and laughter are really helpful to make the event a smiling
success.
Contact me [Stuart]. Lets make it a grand event. We expect 10,000 walkers. In
addition to the pier, and the walk route we are using the summer
concert stage. The pier and sound stage are great venues; and being
next to the river is also a great stage. Contact me, and lets have
some fun.
Be super creative...participate with us. Make a difference!
