Wild West Performer Wanted
Posted February 29, 2008
Note: Posted as received.
"The Wild West Follies" is a travelling, self-contained show that
plays fairs and festivals mainly on the East Coast. The show runs
about 30 minutes and features singing, comedy, whip cracking, trick
roping, knife throwing, gun spinning, and a trained potbelly pig named
Peanut. The job doesn't require that you know how to do any of the
above, just a willingness to learn. Singing or playing an instrument
would be a big plus. Assistant/partner would work in all aspects of
the show: comedy routines, assisting in whip, rope, pig, and knife
routines as well as singing one song in the show. Assistant/partner
would help set up and tear down show and do show maintenance. Position
also requires doing press appearances and promotional work.
We perform up to three shows a day and work 5- to 10-day fairs. Season
runs from June through October. Must be willing to travel. Pay depends
on experience, living quarters provided.
Matthew Bouvier, aka Frisco Slim, aka Molotov is the sole owner of the
show.
