Circus Minimus Seeks Magic Instructor
Posted September 27, 2007
Circus Minimus seeks to hire a magic teacher who can teach children the
tricks listed below. Classes are two small groups (fewer than 10 kids each,
and the students are under 10 years old) in an hour-long after-school class
in downtown Brooklyn on Thursdays. Pay is $35 per hour, two-hour commitment,
for twelve weeks, starting immediately.
The course description follows:
Wizardry 101
A crash course in unleashing the imagination! Through storytelling and
theater, we will create our very own world of Wizardry with infinite magical
possibilities. We will invent mythical creatures, concoct potions, cast
spells, and make magical props that allow a new world to come alive before
your eyes. Through theater exercises and serious play, children will develop
their own cast of characters and fantasy setting to explore the storyteller,
performer and wizard within.
