Circus Contraption Auditions begin April 20

Note: Contraption is based in Seattle, so we don’t post all their non-NYC activities, but this is a real job listing, and they’re the kind of variety arts organization that make it worthwhile to consider relocating.

Circus Contraption needs you!
Circus Contraption, a one-ring, traveling circus, is seeking guest performers for our new "Show of all Shows." Year-round performances with future tour schedule.
An ideal candidate would possess any or all of the following:
- High-level circus skill(s) – unusual & unique A+
- Musical ability—an instrument or three, singing, yodeling, a harmony now and then
- Performance training—dance, clowning, physical comedy, and...?
- Enjoys making costumes, props, puppets, etc.
- Looks good in a frock (snappy dresser)
- Hard-working and reliable
- Able to make a commitment of at least two years
- Cross-training and wise-assery A+++
Not so much with the sideshow, piercing, blockhead, suspension, fire dealio, umm-kay? Not our areas of interest.

If we think you are right up our alley, we will ask for a five-minute or less sample of your skills and flair. Auditions will take place Friday, April 20th & Saturday, April 21 with callbacks on the 22nd.
