NYU Student Film Auditioning Jugglers April 7
Posted March 29, 2007
Note: Posted mostly as received.
Michael Fontana, a senior at NYU is casting for his thesis film entitled "Harold goes to the Circus".
The film will be a 6-day shoot, shot over the course of two consecutive weekends (Fridays included): April 27th - 29th and then May 4th - 6th.
It is a comedy about a disease called 'Clown' which entails a Clown who follows our hero around on his every day tasks causing minor disruptions. Our hero then goes to the medical community to rid himself of the ailment, and as it turns out he would rather embrace his clown than deal with the insanity of the medical bureaucracy.
What I am looking for is an individual with the potential for physical comedy, juggling skills and who can ride a unicycle (any other clowning/circus abilities a PLUS) to star as the film's lead. Although this is not a paid gig, this is a great way for an entertainer to get their name/face out there as this film is aiming to premier at either the Tribecca or Sundance Film Festivals. I am also of course happy to provide food, transportation costs and copy.
We are holding auditions for this role next saturday (april 7th), so if there is anyone you could recommend that would be interested in getting involved, please let me know or have them email mf800@nyu.edu/call me 516.314.0782.
We've got an award-winning crew of students and professionals along with very talented actors- this should be a great experience for anyone who wants to get on board.
Thank you so much for your time and I hope to hear from you soon!
